Initial Clean & Set Up
Getting Your Home Ready
From a Housekeeping Perspective!
Our Approach
We Know Wear & Tear, Breakage & Guest Appeal
We know what lasts and what meets guests' expectations. From the moment we walk through your door, we assess every room with a professional eye — helping you create a space that earns five-star reviews.
We Will Suggest Ways to Set Up Your Home
We will set up your home to meet vacation rental needs. We will offer suggestions to add, remove or replace things.
"Clutter" Is Not Conducive to the Guest Experience
A clean, uncluttered space is essential for guest satisfaction. We help you identify and remove items that detract from the vacation rental experience.
We Will Deep Clean Your Home
Before your first guests arrive we perform a thorough deep clean of every room, surface, and fixture — setting the gold standard your property will be maintained to going forward.
Updating Dishes, Linens & Furnishings
"Grandma's" old dishes and silver are not usually good for guest ratings. We've been doing this for decades — we know what lasts and what meets guests' expectations.
Furnishing Your Vacation Rental Home
Here is what I like to call "Hotel & Vacation Rental" Bible Rules!
- 1
Invest in "solid/heavy" furniture. Never buy furniture made out of pressed wood (i.e. IKEA, etc.) That includes chairs, tables and dressers.
- 2
Place mattress & pillow protectors on all beds and pillows (protects against human accidents and bed bugs).
- 3
Carpet, sheets, blankets should be in dark colors (white or light colors will be ruined).
- 4
Many homeowners prefer white duvets. If you choose white, have one extra duvet of each size in a lockup area or closet in case of emergency.
Do Not Over Populate Your Kitchen
Guests appreciate neat, organized kitchens and dislike "clutter." DO NOT purchase 20 dinner plates for a 3 bedroom home. For consistently high guest reviews, all kitchenware should match. No duplicates!
